Abstract

|
|
The effect of dextromethorphan(Dex) on the spontaneous locomotor activity in mice was investigated. After Dex was intraperitoneally adminstered with the dose of 20, 60 or 80mg/kg/day once a day for 1 day, 4 days or 7 days in female ICR mice. The spontaneous locomotor activity such as distance traveled(DT) was observed for 3.5hrs at 15 min intervals. The spontaneous locomotor activity was markedly increased and showed to be biphasic in a dose dependent manner.
